The Arcplace Online Storage Service uses resilient hard disk storage technology from the market-leader in its field. The Arcplace storage infrastructure is located in two highly secure datacentres in Zurich and Geneva. For optimal connectivity, each location is equipped with fast Internet access. Each data centre has a non-interruptable power supply, air-conditioning and climate control, fire alarm systems and strict access controls with staff, alarm and camera systems. The datacentres furthermore conform to the guidelines of the Swiss banking commission.
Disc-based storage with WORM (write once, read many) functionality is used for compliant storage. This system protects data from any alteration or deletion until their retention period has expired. The Arcplace Online Storage Service supports the allocation of WORM- and non-WORM storage according to the customer requirements. CIFS and NFS protocols can be used to store and access stored data.
