Online Backup - Disaster RecoveryOnline Backup - Disaster Recovery

Disaster Recovery is a coordinated activity to enable the recovery of IT and business systems to avoid disruption. A complete disaster recovery can be achieved by restoring operations to entirely separate geographic locations to different hardware, following procedures outlined in a disaster recovery plan.

At Arcplace we combined our expertise, together with market leading backup software and state-of-the-art datacenters, to ensure that in the event of a disaster your data is quickly and easily restorable to new hardware, to minimize downtime and the resulting impact on your business.

Local and Replicated Storage

The Local Storage module addresses disaster recovery requirements for smaller incidents by saving the latest copies of files at a local storage location. If a restore is needed, the file can be quickly restored from the local environment, at LAN speed, without connecting through to Arcplace's data centres. In case of a major incident that leads to a total loss of the local data, the replicated data can be retrieved from the data centres.

Bare Metal Restore

Any disaster that destroys a system requires a bare metal restore to ensure the minimum downtime and disruption to your business. Once new hardware has been configured with a fresh operating system of the same family as the original computer, you can then rapidly restore the complete system including: data, profiles, registry and system state, programs and service pack files from Local Storage.
