Not only is the design and deployment of digital archiving solutions that satisfy all the regulatory and business requirements of an organization a complex undertaking, the costs associated with deploying and operating such a solution are considerable. Recognizing that for most companies archiving is not a core competency, Arcplace has developed various Managed Archiving Services that allow companies to make use of a high-end archiving infrastructure at a significantly lower cost than that for an in-house system.

Arcplace offers the following Managed Archiving Services:
- Managed Email Archiving
Email archiving service for Exchange and Lotus Notes
- Managed File Archiving
File archiving service for NTFS or CIFS file systems
- Managed Document Archiving
Document management and archiving service for electronic and scanned documents
- Managed SharePoint Archiving
Archiving service for SharePoint
- Managed SAP Archiving
Archiving service for SAP documents, print lists and data
Using leading technology and industry best practice, Arcplace has developed modern Managed Solutions for archiving Emails, Files, Documents, SharePoint and SAP. The core component of Managed Archiving is the Arcplace archiving Appliance, which is installed on the customer’s premises. The Arcplace Appliance collects, stores and indexes data based on pre-configured archiving rules. The use of a high-capacity, redundant storage system ensures that the Arcplace Appliance is able store very large volumes of data, while making it possible to quickly search for and retrieve this data.

In order to ensure disaster recovery and compliance, the Arcplace Appliance is connected via VPN to the Arcplace long-term storage infrastructure hosted in highly secure data centres in Zurich and Geneva. This infrastructure is used to secure encrypted copies of customer data and to ensure their recovery in the event of a disaster. Thanks to multiple redundancy and WORM capability, this storage infrastructure allows users to archive data in compliance with both Swiss and international laws and regulations. In order to maximise accessibility and quality, the Arcplace Operations Team monitors and manages the deployed infrastructure. The Arcplace Reporting Center provides customers with reports and visuals on the status of the service at all times.
